Project background 

Shiwan Yubing Shaojiu, a street specialty of Shiwan Town, Chancheng District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, is a national geographical indication product of China.    

Shiwan Yubing Shao is the only representative product of the sixth flavor type of Chinese liquor - "soybean flavor" liquor; National high-quality wine and Chinese historical and cultural famous wine. Its brewing technique was created in the 21st year of Guangxu (1895) after the resignation of Chen Ruyue, the third generation descendant of Chentaiji Winery in Shiwan, founded in the 10th year of Daoguang's reign (1830) in the Qing Dynasty. Its technique has been passed on orally and hand, and has never been interrupted.  

On December 4, 2015, the former AQSIQ approved the implementation of geographical indication product protection for "Shiwan Yubing Shaojiu".
